Newly-named Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue begins Plenary Assembly 6 June

The Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, presided over by Cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot M.C.C.J., President, holds its Plenary Session in Rome on the theme “Interreligious dialogue and conviviality,” 6-8 June 2022.

The theme will be addressed from a general point of view thanks to some reports relating to the different geographical areas and through moments of reflection and exchange between the participants.

The Members and Consultors of the Pontifical Council and the Rev. Dr. Abraham Silo Wilar, Representative of the World Council of Churches. were invited to the Plenary Session.

The Reverend Mons. Indunil J. Kodithuwakku K., Secretary of the Dicastery, will present to the participants the activities of the Council in recent years. The Plenary Assembly always represents a happy and opportune occasion to reflect on the current situation of interreligious dialogue in various parts of the world and to deepen what the role of the Christian community should be for the promotion of conviviality and fraternity between members of different religious traditions. so that they can contribute to the good of all humanity.

Participants in the Plenary Session, at the beginning of the work, will be received in audience by the Holy Father.
