When believers come together, greater things can happen
On Monday, 24 February 2025, the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue received a Delegation of representatives from various religious communities in Senegal, led by El Hadji Thierno Amadou BA, the Khalif General of Bambilor (shown in the picture wearing blue attire). Accompanying the delegation were Rev. Fr. Alphonse Biram NDOUR, who is responsible for interreligious dialogue and service in the Archdiocese of Dakar, and Rev. Fr. Zacharie Guirane NDIONE, the Provincial Superior of PANO and representative of the Conference of Major Superiors of Senegal.
Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, Prefect of the Dicastery, read the message that the Holy Father, Pope Francis, had prepared for the delegation. In this message he emphasized the importance of uniting their respective religious and moral values. He called for joint efforts and prayers to inspire the transformation of human hearts and to promote a future characterized by justice, peace, unity, and fraternity.
During the fraternal meeting, all the participants expressed their desire to strengthen the links between the Delegation and the Dicastery in order to enhance collaboration through a shared commitment to promoting peace and foster fraternity for lasting interreligious dialogue.
