On January 9 at the office of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, officials welcomed a group of students from the Catholic University of Paris led by their professors, Catherine Marin and Pierre Diarra, consultor of the Dicastery.
The students are engaged in studies in various disciplines on masters and doctoral levels and are participating in a program on the topic of the History of Mission that includes a trip to Rome, to conduct research in Roman archives related to their topics. The Catholic University of Paris has sponsored this program for ten years.
Msgr. Indunil Kodithuwakku K., Secretary of the Dicastery, Fr. Paulin Kubuya, SX, Undersecretary, and Fr. Laurent Basanese, SJ, official, explained the work of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue in supporting the Holy Father and local Churches in their dialogue initiatives.
The students were interested in the question of the relation between interreligious dialogue and the missionary mandate, as well as the work of inter-dicasterial collaboration.
