Ad Limina Visit Bangladesh

During their ad limina Apostolorum visit to the Successor of St. Peter, the bishops of Bangladesh met with officials of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue on 22 June 2026. The encounter offered a warm and productive setting for dialogue on matters central to the Church’s mission in the region. Conversation centered on the present landscape of interreligious relations, efforts to protect and advance religious freedom, and ways of building social harmony among different faith communities. The bishops further offered reflections drawn from their own pastoral experience, enriching a shared understanding of both the possibilities and difficulties the Church in Bangladesh encounters in its relations with other religious traditions.
