Visit by Oriental Orthodox Churches’ delegation
On Monday 3rd February 2025 a delegation of priests and monks from different Oriental Orthodox Churches on a study visit in Rome met with members of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue. The delegation included representatives from the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate of Egypt, the Syrian Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and all the East, the Armenian Apostolic Church (See of Etchmiadzin and Catholicossate of Cicilia – Lebanon), the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, the Orthodox Church of Eritrea. Countries represented were Armenia, Egypt, Eritrea, India, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and USA. The meeting, part of the study tour organised at the invitation of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, provided an opportunity for a fruitful exchange and mutual insight in promoting peace and harmony in their respective countries.
